Welcome to our adventures! While the blog is still the same old blog, it has a new look, and because we are no longer living in the City, new content and a new name!
While this blog began years ago as a way to document the funny conversations we had with our kids when they were little, it evolved, sometimes. Eventually I tried adding our gardening adventures, healthy living adventures, and recipes, sporadically. The downside to also having kids, is the older they got, the busier we got, and spare time to keep up with the blog was non-existent. Now, however, our nest recently became empty. Both of our kids...the very ones the inspired the blog to begin with, are in college on the East Coast, living the dream. They come home occasionally during their breaks, and we venture their way as often as we can to watch some games. Thanks to Face time, our funny conversations still exist and despite distance, we remain as close as ever, while we figuring our new empty nest, and they learn to navigate their way through adulting, and balancing their sports college careers and school work.
With our new empty nest, came a new house. We decided to leave the area we grew up in (and never moved out of), and we ventured into the next county over, 40 miles away. We bought our dream home, nestled in the Foothills of the Rockies. The home is perched on just a little over 2 acres on the top of Conifer Mountain, at 9500ft elevation. We are surrounded by cute little farms, wild life, and traded the hustle and bustle of city urban living, for the quiet country mountain living. And our view is incredible!
With my new found time, I plan to attempt to keep up with this blog more regularly. With 2 acres and 9500ft elevation, our homesteading, healthy living, recipe (as I discovered with baking) adventures will have lots of potential and lots of challenges! Also as an added bonus I will be taking you on our house updating journey!
